About Us

Five Points was established in 1976 on a Homestead high in the Enchanted Mountains of Western New York State. The founders of this woodworking business are Larry Tocha and his wife Carolyn.

Larry studied Industrial Arts  in college and received a degree in Industrial Technology in 1966. Since then he has had 25 years in the corporate furniture industry in managerial positions in Engineering and R&D . His hands on experience and love of the art of woodworking prepared him to open his own shop in 1976 and continue to work in the furniture industry, constantly gaining invaluable knowledge which has been carried through to the Five Points Custom Woodworking Shop.

In 2006 Larry and Carolyn's son Dusk joined the family business as a Journeyman as is learning the trade well.  Larry's experience and craftsmanship and Dusk's new energy, enthusiasm and fresh new ideas makes a strong combination for the future.

We are proud to announce that in June of 2010 two new local artisans joined our team. Matt Canale and Mat Snyder, both formerly of Gone Wild Creations in Ellicottville, NY.  Matt Canale has brought his fine woodworking skills in Rustic Furniture building and cabinetry. Mat Snyder offers his artistic talents  in stained glass furnishings and antler lighting and accessories.

It is the goal of Five Points to utilize the best woodworking techniques available, both old and new, put forth old fashion high quality craftmanship and  incorporate the abundance of Native Hardwoods in the area into our products .
